Christmas 2008

This was Aspen's 1st Christmas, and Claire's 1st Christmas as a big sister! It was a wonderful holiday for us all. We went to Utah a week before Christmas for Aunt Natalie's wedding (Brenda's youngest sister)

Claire and Aspen had fun being little Flower Girls with their cousins.

We got to visit the lights at Temple Square in the freezing cold!

and a visit the Christ statue, a favorite of Claire's.

One night we played games ...

and had dinner at Uncle Jesse's.

We flew back home Christmas Eve. We usually spend Christmas Eve with some friends and have the kids do a short play of the story of Jesus's birth. Claire was an angel...

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care"

"...in hopes that St. Nick soon would be there..." ... looks like he came!

Aspen was quite delighted with her new car

and the Christmas pillowcase handmade by Grandma!

Claire loved her pillowcase too, and her i-pod and i-dog and her latest favorite...

On Christmas Day in the afternoon we went to play with some friends.

On New Years Eve we went over to another friend's house for fireworks and to usher in the New Year! Aspen fell asleep long before the clock struck 12!

Claire got sick a couple days after Christmas. Once afternoon when she was feverish, she climbed behind the sofa and fell fast asleep for hours.... she got over it pretty quick thank goodness!

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday! The best ever! We wish you all a happy, healthy and memorable year in 2009!
